Old Town Sacramento Train Museum

Last Wedesday, my mom and I took the boys to
Old Town Sacramento to go to the train museum.
We began our fun day by having lunch in a nearby
Mexican restaurant which is a couple of blocks from
the museum.

Both Josh and Caleb were in seventh heaven. They
loved looking in the trains.

They especially enjoyed going inside some of the cars.
Below is a picture of a dining car. It was pretty fancy
with each table with a different set of fine china that they
used back in the day. The man below played the chime
the same way someone would have before a dinner service.

The boys enjoyed the Thomas play area. The museum
had three huge trains sets set up for the kids to play
with.

If any of your children are remotely interested in trains
this is a great place to take them because they will love it.
Honestly, my mom and I were ready to leave before the boys
were and we stayed there a good couple of hours.
We ended our day in Sacramento with something
to drink to beat the heat.

On a side note, my mom and Nick are going to be taking
a RV around the county to see the sites. They sold their
house in Dixon and plan on buying another home out of state.
We sure are going to miss the two of them and wish them
a safe journey. :) Hopefully, they find a house that isn't
too far.
