This past Friday night, we went to the
pear festival in Kelseyville. After two and
a half hours of being in the car Josh was exhausted.
He slept just like this the whole time we unloaded the
minivan and set up our tent.
It's our ritual to go to the Brick Grill on Saturday
morning when we go up to the "lake". This time, the service
was really bad and when my oatmeal finally came,
it was crusty. Next time, I think we'll go somewhere
else. This is my dad and I. It was nice spending time
with him over the week-end.
Kelseyville is a small town. They only have one
main street and that's what they call it. On the pear
festival day they close Main street down and have a party.
There's dancing, crafts, food and they even had a blood drive.
It was quite the hopping event.
David's eating pear ice cream. He's the only one in
our family that liked it. It was fun trying something
new though.
A farmer let Josh get on this tractor. He was even
going to turn it on but neither Josh nor I wanted him to.
The parade started off with four small planes
going over Main street. It sounded like the air
force was raiding the city when they went by.
This is one of the floats.
Josh and Caleb were smart. They took turns riding
the trike. On a side note, do boys flat iron their hair???
I saw Billy Ray Cyrus on television last night and he looked
like his hair was pressed. So, does this blond boy in my
picture.:) I'm just curious.
My sister Christina and her hubby Matt sitting
in the bank. You know it's a small town when the
art show is in the bank. It worked out get for us
because it was the only place with air conditioning.
It must have been 100 degrees F. that day.
Josh eating a pear straight from the farmer.
It does not get any better than that.
Hanging out at the house.
Welcome, Sterling
